Extended Analogy

My life is like a computer

Structure

The framework of my life is like the motherboard of the computer, connecting every component and allowing the entire system to work. It connects my values, education, and goals, giving the structure that keeps everything organized and working. My education is like the motherboard's BIOS, giving me knowledge, while my values are like the logic gates, helping determine the decisions I make and the type of person I want to be. My goals act as the copper pathways on the motherboard that connect everything together, giving me a sense of purpose.

Style

The style of my life is like the operating system (OS) of the computer. The operating system controls how the computer looks and feels, making experiences different even if the hardware is the same. My passion for tech and programming is like the logical architecture of my OS, teaching me to think logically and creatively. Being part of the furry community is like the UI, shaping my identity by giving me a space centered around self expression and connection with others who share similar interests, which has shown me the importance of individuality and confidence in expressing who I am.

Cohesion

The cohesion of my life is like the storage drive of the computer. A computer can have a powerful motherboard and all the high end components, but without storage, it cannot keep anything that guides it. Every memory, program, file, and experience is stored there, making the system complete rather than something that forgets everything the moment it shuts down. Like the stored programs, files, and memories on a computer, this represents the experiences that have shaped the choices I make and the values I carry. My academic experiences within IB have taught me discipline and perseverance, while programming has taught me patience, logic, and problem solving. Being part of different communities has also shaped how I express myself and connect with others.
